CHOTA SEAL
DESCRIPTION :
ESSRBOND CHOTA SEAL is a one-component, high-performance sealant based on advanced MS Polymer Technology. It is solvent, Silicone & Isocyanates free & Non- straining to have excellent UV, weather, and temperature resistance for natural tones. It has excellent adhesion over a wide variety of substrates and is paintable with most common industrial paints.

- Damp surface tolerant
- Low Dirt Pick up
- High UV and aggressive atmosphere
- Resistance
- Resistance to aerobic and anaerobic
- Bacteriological attack.
- Comprehensive color range
- Environmental Friendly
- Excellent low temperature gun ability
- Improved gun & tooling characteristics
- Retains joints soundness once cured
APPLICATION PRINCIPLES
It is specially formulated for structural joint that will be subjected to dynamic stresses. It is used for making permanent high strength elastic bonding in Construction Automotive, Industrial and Marine applications. Ideal for bonding of metal Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Steel, Copper, etc. Rubber ( Natural, Synthetic, EPDM etc.), Natural Materials (Wood, Plywood, Leather, Cloths , Paperboard etc, Inorganic (Concrete, Mortar, Natural Stone, Tile, Glass, Porcelain etc.) and Plastics (Nylon, PVC, ABS, Polycarbonate etc.)
PAINTING
ESSRBOND CHOTA SEAL may be over painted with water based & PU based paints, however due to the large number of coatings available, it is advisable to carry out a compatibility test before application. For alkyd paints a suitable water based undercoat must be used.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from all lose dirt, dust, oil, grease or any other contaminants which may impair adhesion. Metal Surfaces should be cleaned and degreased. For a neat finish, apply masking tape and remove it before sealant has skinned over.
APPLICATIONS
Cut off cartridge / sausage with a sharp knife. Cut nozzle at 45 angle to desire bead-width & apply to substrate with cartridge gun. Firmly extrude the sealant into slot ensuring complete contact with joint faces. Tooling time is 10 minutes, tack free time is 10-15 minutes. The sealant should be tooled shortly after application before skin forms to ensure good contact with joint substrates. Uncured sealant can be cleaned up with mineral spirits. Use approved backing material for joints over 15mm deep.
STORAGE:Store in a cool and dry place. away from direct sunlight and moisture. Storage temperature to be below 35 0C
